About Upstream HC-1 LLC (Centennial Flats)
Centennial Flats is a solar photovoltaic and battery storage power plant located in La Paz county. Clean, renewable electricity generated by the power plant will be transmitted via a 500 kV transmission line to the nearby Cielo Azul substation, operated by DCR Transmission, LLC (DCRT). The project will employ an average of 300 workers per day while in construction and is anticipated to begin operation in 2025.
Project Benefits
-
Employment could peak at nearly 600 people during construction and ongoing jobs and local services will be required during operation.
-
Total investment in Centennial Flats project facilities, infrastructure, wages and services is estimated to total over $1.2 Billion.
-
The project will provide approximately $56 million in additional tax revenue to La Paz County over its lifetime. These funds can be used to enhance local programs, schools, roads, and other county priorities.
